The increasing number of Corona virus cases all around has resulted in an alarming situation all over the country. In lieu of this concern, the health and family welfare department of Tamil Nadu has issued a new set of travel guidelines for domestic and international passengers.
An E-pass has been made mandatory for all international and domestic travelers. Business travelers do not have to quarantine if the trip is for 72 hours only or less than three days. The travelers that are exempted are from Pondicherry, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
Under these guidelines, travelers from United Kingdom, South Africa and Brazil travelling to Tamil Nadu, have to leave their samples for testing at the airport. The passengers who have tested negative at other airports are not exempted from this rule.
The passengers that are travelling from Europe and Middle East are required to submit a Self-Declaration Form on the Air Suvidha Portal before arrival to India. Travel history for last 14 days has to be provided by the same passengers. Passengers have to get RT-PCR test done, with their covid-19 negative results which should be done within the last 72 hours before departure.
